A voice actor in Berlin. A translator in São Paulo. A game publisher in California paying us in dollars. All of it has to land in the books correctly, in the right currency, on the right date.
Altagram localizes video games into more than 60 languages from Berlin, Montréal and Seoul.
Four legal entities, several currencies, a few hundred freelancers, and clients who are among the biggest names in gaming. Our tax advisors do the bookkeeping and the annual accounts. An external provider runs payroll. You are the person inside the company who makes both of those work, and who owns the day to day of money going out and money coming in.
It is a hands-on role with real authority, and it reports directly to the CEO.
⚡ What you will own
Every week
- All incoming and outgoing invoices: checking, approval, and getting them where they need to go.
- Preparing the payment runs across our banks, Airwallex and Blueport, for confirmation by the CEO.
- Receivables and dunning. You chase what we are owed, with escalation agreed inside the finance team.
- Supplier and freelancer queries: replying, chasing missing or incorrect invoices, checking bank details, sorting out payment questions.
- Collecting, checking and handing over all documents to our tax advisors through DATEV Unternehmen online, on a rhythm that keeps us GoBD-compliant.
- Feeding our external payroll provider what it needs for Germany and Spain: joiners, leavers, absences, changes.
- Reconciliation checks and cash monitoring.
- Day-to-day contact for our tax advisors and our payroll provider.
- Four entities across Germany, Spain, Korea and Canada, in several currencies.
- Improving the processes you inherit. If something takes longer than it should, we want to hear about it, and we are happy to support you using AI to make it easier.
- Keeping our Verfahrensdokumentation up to date, the written record of how our accounting actually runs, and your own projects in the finance function, agreed directly with the CEO.
